A few weekends back we had the opportunity to join our family out in Roche Harbor. It was a whirlwind trip, only a little over 24 hours. But, the traffic, ferry lines and long car ride were worth the spectacular weather and time spent with the fam.
The kids enjoyed their time out on the dock beyond our house, combing the beach and hunting for crabs with their dad and uncle Tim. We celebrated aunt Lacey’s birthday, went whale watching at Lime Kiln lighthouse and had ice cream in Friday Harbor. We remarked to ourselves that this was the first trip with the four that wasn’t stressful. We all enjoyed ourselves despite less sleep, no naps and having to be flexible!
Next time, we vowed to stay longer!
