Aaden and I enjoyed another beautiful sunny Friday. We spent the morning planting the remaining vegetables in our raised bed garden. I got onions, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and peppers planted. This was added to the already planted lettuce variety, arugula, spinach, basil, chives, carrots and radishes. Here’s hoping for a good first crop!
This afternoon, in an effort to get out of the house Aaden, Emma and I went on a 4 mile walk. It was great exercise for Emma and I, plus Aaden got to snooze in his carrier! When we got back we all needed a refreshing drink of water!
Later in the day Aaden had his 6 month check up. While we were concerned with how many sick children there were in the pediatrician (tons), the Dr. reassured us that Aaden is wonderfully healthy, great lungs, heart and ears. We are so thankful! He’s weighing in at 19lbs 5.8oz (80th percentile), 27 3/4 inches long (91st percentile), with a pretty large head (44cm/60th percentile). After four shots (note band aids on his legs below), we were thrilled with the great news and promptly got out of the Dr. for another afternoon hanging out with Daddy!
We then had dinner – Aaden enjoyed green beans, banana/rice cereal and a few spoonfuls of yogurt. I think they were a hit, don’t you?!
